We are now accepting applications for volunteer drivers with the availability to drive on a weekly basis in the Lewes and Rehoboth areas. Our roster includes both permanent and substitute drivers. Our permanent drivers commit to the same route on the same day of every week. We currently have permanent routes available if you’re able to commit to driving a specific route every week. Our substitute drivers provide availability for 2 days per week and are only contacted when a substitute driver is needed. They receive a monthly schedule to sign up for open routes in advance and are also contacted last minute for routes that open up same-day or with a couple days notice. Currently, our biggest need for substitute drivers are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Meal pick-up location is at FishOn restaurant in Lewes and pick-up time is 9:30am Monday -Friday.

All volunteer drivers receive a Day One orientation, hot meal bag to carry meals, thermal pack to keep meals hot, and a Meals on Wheels car windshield sign. Mileage reimbursement is offered to all drivers.
