Are you compassionate? Do you want to help your community? Do you have two hours to spare one day a week? Then apply to become a volunteer for MOWLR today!
Meals On Wheels of Lewes-Rehoboth could not exist without the help of our more than 110 weekly volunteers. Together, they help deliver over 300 meals a day to our seniors and homebound neighbors in the Lewes-Rehoboth area.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals to our homebound client recipients. Delivering meals takes about an hour and a half of your time. We would love to have compassionate people, (like you), in the homes of our steadily-growing client base. By delivering meals, you bring nutritious food and a welcome visit to seniors and homebound residents in your local community. Most volunteers deliver meals to anywhere from as few as 10 to as many as 20 clients on a given route. They are rewarded by the satisfaction of assisting those who need and appreciate their services. Becoming a volunteer driver for MOWLR is a great way to make a huge impact for the lives of many, in a short amount of time. If interested in finding out how to sign up to volunteer, please use the forms below or contact Katie.
“Delivering or making meals, to/for those in need, is always a great way to start a day about being thankful! Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth, the kitchen staff of Fish On, and their volunteers are a blessing! Good work guys!”
– Eric Atkins (MOWLR volunteer extraordinaire)
